Dive down to the depths of the ocean floor at Castle Towers and join in with decorating the 4m-long humpback whale sculpture.

10am-2pm, 9-22 July, Centre Court
No bookings required, all ages welcome.

Drop by one of the free recycled art workshops with the kids this school holiday period and help bring to life a 1.2m-high sculpture of a mother humpback whale.

Each day kids and adults are invited to come along to paint and decorate their own recycled plastic objects under the guidance of our resident artists, and then see these attached to the huge creature from the deep blue. Check back regularly over the fortnight to see the sculpture evolving!

Upon its completion at the end of school holidays, the Castle Towers whale will be displayed as a beautiful piece of community art and timely reminder of the impact of plastic pollution on our oceans.
