Purpose of role:

As a Labourer you will be an integral part of our delivery team that will be turning plans and dreams in to reality.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Provide general labouring support for pool installation and concreting
  • Clean and prepare the job site including loading and delivering materials
  • Use a variety of tools and machines as appropriate
  • Assist as required in the installation of fixtures, such as pipes, valves and pumps
  • Work in a safe way at all times
  • Comply with all Narellan Pools policies and procedures
  • Ensure that other reasonable duties are completed upon request
  • If required to drive a Narellan Pools vehicle, ensure you do so in a safe and thoughtful way, ensuring adherence to all road roads and with safety as a priority
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, customers and the team at all times
  • Be respectful of all company property including tools and vehicles
  • Unload and load materials into and out of vehicles, including heavy lifting at times
  • Ensure all customer sites are kept in a neat and clean state

Qualifications:

  • Essential – have a valid White card
  • Desirable – valid drivers license

Experience:

Essential:

  • Experience working as a general labourer
  • Experience in a role which involves face to face interactions with clients and customers
  • Experience working with a variety of power tools

Desirable:

  • An understanding of the principles, techniques and methods involved in pool building
  • Previous experience in a trade such as carpentry, tiling or concreting

Personal qualities & behavioural traits:

Essential:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, take direction and a willingness to learn
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to undertake a police check, health check and alcohol and other drug testing as required
  • Understanding of and ability to abide by Work, Health and Safety protocols and have Personal Protective Equipment knowledge
  • Ability to work in a flexible, multi-tasking environment
