Young people in The Hills are encouraged to take part in Hills Youth Week celebrations, between April 10 and April 18.
Youth Week is an opportunity for young people to share ideas, attend live events, showcase their talent, celebrate and have fun. Activities range from a wellbeing and health workshop to a family fun day, basketball competition and lots more! See below for the full program!

Keeping Safe Program – Castle Hill Community Hub, located outside Castle Towers, Thursday 11 April.
Learn safe driving behaviours, make better choices on the road and gain encouragement to become a better driver. This workshop is suitable for young people learning how to drive.
Wellbeing and Focus on Happiness Workshop – Castle Hill Community Hub, located outside Castle Towers, Saturday 13 April
Learn yoga techniques, mindfulness and relaxation to reduce stress. This free workshop is for carers and people living with disability.
Balcombe Heights Skate Park Upgrade Unveil – Balcombe Heights Estate, Sunday 14 April
Join the Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne as she officially opens Balcombe Heights Skate Park following upgrades.
Song Writing Workshop – Castle Hill Library, Monday 15 April
Learn how to write a song from scratch with the author of Songwriter’s Book, Monica Welander. Monica will take you through the tools and the tips to create an original song. Suitable for ages 12-18 years.
5 on 5 Basketball Competition – Bernie Mullane Indoor Sports Centre, Monday 15 April
Get your teams together for a fun day of social 5 v 5 basketball at Bernie Mullane Indoor Sports Centre!
Family Fun Day – Balcombe Heights Estate, Tuesday 16 April
Enjoy a variety of activities, including painting, henna tattooing, skate competitions, an inflatable obstacle course and lots more.
Work Ready Skills Workshop – Castle Hill Community Hub, located outside Castle Towers, Wed 17 April
Learn interview and resume writing skills, how to deal with stress and all about dealing with money.
