Role: Retail Assistant.

Casual – average 16 hours per week. Must be available during the week, school holidays and alternate weekend work. Flexibility to work various shifts including some weekends.

Location: Beecroft.

Role description:

We are looking for a casual sales assistant to help customers identify and purchase shoes relevant to their requirements. This will require the selection and fitting of children’s shoes and presentation of options and assistance for women for purchases for their needs. The goal is to provide high quality customer service through exceptional customer and interpersonal engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
  • Welcome and greet customers
  • Ascertain customers’ needs and wants to recommend and assist with products to match customer requirements
  • Manage point of sale process
  • Fitting of footwear for children and assisting women in correct selection and size. Basic housekeeping, Merchandising, Stock Management in store, General duties.

Requirements:

  • Background in retail sales, preferably in fashion
  • Ability to relate to children and customers of all ages
  • Solid communications and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Customer service focused
  • Self-motivated
  • Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality

About the company:

We are a family owned and operated company since 1931 and run by the 3rd and 4th generation. We are the original Clarks Fitting Specialists in Australia and stock footwear brands that are not stocked everywhere.

You will be working in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. We will provide full and ongoing training in the correct fitting of children’s footwear and also product knowledge and background information. We foster and encourage your interest in fashion and co-ordination.
