Family Fun Weekend at Castle Towers. Saturday 17 August and Sunday 18 August.

Every third weekend of the month, Castle Towers hold a Family Fun Weekend!  You’ll find pop-up treat carts, popular characters to meet and greet, free kids meals* and much more!

This weekend you can also:

  • Meet Spider-man
  • Enjoy a delicious waffle on a stick at a pop-up treat cart
  • Get fancy with face painting


Launch of The Smokehouse. Castle Hill RSL. Friday 16 – Sunday 18 August

Just in time for Father’s Day, Castle Hill RSL is launching The Smokehouse – an authentic new woodfired outdoor BBQ featuring succulent street style food and flavours! Visit the club on opening weekend, from 5pm Friday 16 & Saturday 17 August and 11am Sunday 18 August to experience the low and slow smoker and enjoy the Canadian Club Pop Up Bar and free live music.


Rouse Hill House and Farm Family Fair. Sunday 18 August, 9am – 4pm.

Playfulness and merriment abounds as Family Fair returns for another year.  Take the family along to Rouse Hill House and Farm for a day of fun and nostalgia on Sunday 18 August.

Enjoy farm animal encounters, creative art activities, vintage games, a pop-up library and story book readings, music performances, and more. So, grab your tickets and get ready for a day of delight as you explore this iconic farm and historic house.

When purchasing your tickets, you need to choose an entry time of 9am (selling fast) or 12pm. You can arrive any time after your entry time begins and stay as long as you like. Activities will take place across the whole day.


Spring’s Alive at Eden Gardens. Sunday 18 August, 11am to 3pm.

Gardens come alive in Spring and what better way to mark the occasion than with an event that celebrates everything Spring!

Join Eden Gardens on Sunday 18 August from 11am – 3pm for a family fun day out in the sunshine featuring seasonal talks, special discounts, a petting zoo, jumpy castle, workshops, lawn games and more! Book your FREE ticket here.

Maroota Muster. Sunday 18 August. 10am to 3pm.

The Maroota Muster is a great family day out and the Maroota Public School annual fundraiser. There will be a large variety of stalls, great food, chocolate wheel with loads of prizes, fun rides and activities for the kids, face painting, showbags and more! 4540 Old Northern Road Maroota.


Innovation Games at Giants Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park. Sunday 18 August, 11am to 3.30pm.

Drone simulations, Big Science shows, wildlife demonstrations, The Space Cowboy’s Stranger than Fiction, skate science and more!

The Innovation Games at GIANTS Stadium is a free science-based family fun day full of sporting, science and technology action at the town centre of Sydney Olympic Park, bringing science to sports fans attending the GWS Giants AFL game at Giants Stadium.

Activities include drone simulations, DNA extractions, the opportunity to meet Australian wildlife up close, skate and scooter physics, and plenty more hands-on science. Don’t forget to BYO-device for an augmented reality treasure hunt.

Epic Slime Workshop. Cherrybrook Village.  Saturday 17 August and Sunday 18 August. 

Make slime in this fun and interactive workshop. Your kids will get a kick out of learning how to make their own slime that they can take home. This is an easy to follow workshop – its super stretchy, super soft and super fluffy. Plus we’ll tell you the tips and tricks on how to care for your slime. Make sure children are dressed in old clothes as this one can get messy! Time: 10am – 2.15pm (30min Sessions).
