Go ice skating on real ice at Rouse Hill Town Centre
This ice rink is back this winter at Rouse Hill Town Centre! Commencing on Friday 21 June and with extended hours for the school holidays, enjoy a 30 minute skate session on their real ice rink with your friends and family. It costs $10 for 30 minutes and penguin hire is an additional $5. Opening hours are as follows:
21 June – 5 July:
Monday – Wednesday: 4pm – 7.30pm
Thursday – Friday: 4pm – 9pm
Saturday – Sunday: 10am – 9pm
6 July – 21 July (school holidays)
Daily 10am – 9pm.

Winter Fair starts at Rouse Hill Town Centre this weekend
Slide down Main St on the 25 metre toboggan, ride the carousel and spin on the all new ferris wheel! The Winter Fair will run from Saturday 6 July to Sunday 21 July from 10am to 9pm daily.
Note: If rides and ice skating are the plan, Rouse Hill Town Centre has a great value entertainment bundle. It includes a meal, movie, popcorn, skate session and carnival rides for only $35 for kids and $40 for adults. There are more details here.

Meet the Senses at Castle Towers
Saturday 6 July to Sunday 21 July from 10am to 3pm (5pm to 8pm on Thursday evenings). Suitable for ages 4-12 years under 4 years must be supervised by parent/guardian.
Go on an experimental journey of the five senses, where you can explore the weird and wonderful ways our senses work! See, smell, taste, hear and touch your way around a series of interactive pods these holidays and get to know the weird and wonderful ways the five senses work.
Smell-a-vision – Put your sniffing skills to the ultimate test! Spin the wheel and match the test tubes scents. Can you guess correctly?
Sounds like fun – The disco dome will carry you into a music bubble. Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes!
Feelin’ arty – Here’s your chance to get creative with colour. Build a series of sculptures and let your imagination run wild!
Taste bud time – Bring your own flavour to the table. Decorate your very own take-home placemat, whilst learning a few tasty facts along the way.
Winterfest Medieval Fair. Hawkesbury Showground. Saturday 6 July and Sunday 7 July. 10am to 5pm.
Escape for the weekend into a world of history and fantasy! Winterfest Sydney Medieval Fair will return to the Hawkesbury Showground this weekend.
From jousting, archery and combat to crafts, cooking and games, Winterfest offers you entertainment to watch and activities to try. Winterfest is easy to get to, with free parking on site and a railway station only two minutes’ walk away from the venue gates. You could win a prize if you catch a judge’s eye with your medieval costume, so come in your best medieval dress, and enjoy the fun of Winterfest!

All Parramatta Council libraries will celebrate NAIDOC week commencing on Sunday 7 July to Sunday 14 July.
NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but also by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
Visit any City of Parramatta Libraries and help us create Indigenous themed bunting that will be displayed at Burramatta Day celebration.
Activities are for people of all ages and will be held during library opening hours.
