WHAT’S ON

  • Australia Day – Saturday 26 January
    • Bella Vista Farm – The massive all-day Australia Day party will include show-stopping performances from Aussie artists, rides, free kid’s activities, delicious street food, roving performers, fireworks and much more. (12pm – 9pm). More info here.
    • Hawkesbury City Council – Celebrate Australia Day 2019 at a free family fun, food and fireworks community event proudly hosted by Hawkesbury City Council on Saturday, 26 January 2019 from 4pm to 9pm. It will be held at Governor Phillip Park, Windsor from 4pm with fireworks display at 9pm. There will be live entertainment on the outdoor stage, waterslides, rides, face painting, food stalls and trucks plus a special appearance by the RAAF base striker fire truck between 6pm – 8pm.
    • Australia Day at Stanhope Village – Sausage sizzle, thong throwing competition, Kevin the Kangaroo & Sun Smart Suzie, face painting and balloon twisting. 10am to 2pm.
    • Parramatta Park – Enjoy 15 hours of free non-stop entertainment from dawn until dusk at Parramatta’s massive all day Australia Day party in Parramatta Park. Featuring a hot-air balloon display, classic vehicles, kids activities, live entertainment, delicious food, amusement rides and more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!  Starts at 6am and ends at 9pm with a fireworks finale.  More info here.

  • Let your children experience what it’s like to be a Featherdale Zookeeper in their summer school holiday break!   On selected dates within the Summer break, children aged 8 – 14 years old can head to Featherdale and get a firsthand experience in caring for Australian wildlife.  More information can be found here.

 

  • Boomerang Art and Dance at Rouse Hill House and Farm. Meet the staff from Muru Mittigar then paint a boomerang and your face to experience the ancient art of dance and storytelling in their beautiful bush setting. Tuesday 15 January, Thursday 17 January, Tuesday 22 January and Thursday 24 January.  10am to 11.30am.  Bookings can be made here.
  • Shopping Centre Activities
    • Rouse Hill Town Centre – Monday 14 January to Friday 18 January – Shimmer and Shine Workshop. Monday 21 January to Friday 25 January – Nickelodeon Craft zone with character meet and greets.
    • Castle Towers – Saturday 12 January to Sunday 27 January – Botanical Buddies. 10am to 4pm (Thursday’s until 7pm). More info here.
    • North Rocks Shopping Centre – Monday 14 January to Friday 18 January – Koala Biscuit decorating. Monday 21 January to Friday 25 January – Back to School Craft.
    • Seven Hills Plaza: live sea creatures interactive display and a Captain Barnacles meet and greet. Commencing Tues 8 Jan.
    • Stanhope Village – Summer Activity Zone. Tuesday 15 January to Friday 18 January and Tuesday 22 January to Friday 25 January. 11am to 2pm.
