Calling all home cooks: Get ready to refine your skills in the kitchen and cook alongside celebrated chef Matt Moran! The 9th annual Parklands Food Fest returns Saturday 5 September 2020 and this year it’s going virtual for all food lovers to check out.
Whether you’re a local Sydneysider or from further afield, join Parklands Food Fest’s Virtual Kitchen for an incredible opportunity to cook alongside Australia’s renowned chef Matt Moran – all from the comfort of your own home.
In this not to be missed day of home-cooking, you’ll learn plenty of tips and tricks, including how to make some of Matt’s favourite dishes using local Western Sydney Parklands’ produce from Horsley Park urban farms. You can also livestream for a masterclass in food waste when OzHarvest’s executive chef Travis Harvey joins Matt to create a delicious meal out of food scraps.
Did you know that Western Sydney Parklands – Australia’s largest urban park – is home to 12 urban farms that grow and sell a variety of fresh seasonal produce from their local stalls and supply some of Sydney’s largest markets?
As a bonus feature of the event, the Parklands’ urban farms will produce a number of produce boxes featuring fresh, local ingredients from the farms and recipes, which will be available for those in the Sydney-metro area who are keen to replicate Matt’s creations at home on the day or post event.
Parklands Food Fest 2020 is also proud to be supporting OzHarvest to raise much needed funds to feed people in need.
