Recreational Gymnastics – Programs for all ages and levels

Castle Hill Gymnastics’ recreational programs are designed for anyone who wants to experience the excitement of a high-performance gymnastics centre at a pace that suits their individual goals. With a strong focus on enjoyment, participants have access to highly qualified gymnastics coaches who support the development of skills ranging from basic handstands to advanced tumbling and backflips.

Babygym and Kindergym – 3 months to 5 years

Babygym is a parent-and-child gymnastics program for children aged 3–12 months, designed to support holistic early development during a critical stage of growth. The program helps build strong foundations that influence movement skills later in life, with activities focused on brain development, body awareness, social interaction, balance and vestibular stimulation, core strength, fine motor skills, and sensory development.

Babygym sessions run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with no bookings required and casual visits welcome.

Kindergym is a structured movement program for children aged 12 months (walking) to 5 years, supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in a safe and engaging environment. Children aged 4–5 years also have the opportunity to participate in unassisted classes, encouraging independence and confidence.

Kindergym sessions are delivered by fully accredited coaches, with no bookings required and casual visits available from Monday to Friday.

Beginners Gymnastics – 5 years to 11 years

Beginner Recreational Gymnastics classes are designed for school-aged children from 5 to 11 years and are delivered in one hour sessions once per week. The program focuses on developing strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment, helping prepare children for a wide range of sports as well as future gymnastics pathways.

Progression to competitive levels is determined through in-house assessments and appraisals. Castle Hill Gymnastics is recognised as a leading club in the region for both boys and girls, offering training in a safe, fully equipped, state of the art, air conditioned facility. All coaches are NCAS accredited, and the club is affiliated with NSW Gymnastics.

Teen Gymnastics – 12 years to 17 years

Teen Gymnastics is a fitness and tumbling focused program designed for beginners through to advanced participants aged 12-17 years. Sessions support the development of gymnastics skills ranging from basic round offs to advanced tumbling, while maintaining a strong balance between fitness and fun.

Each 90 minute session includes a structured warm-up and stretch, followed by 20 minutes of bootcamp style fitness led by a qualified personal trainer from Castle Hill Fitness Centre, 20 minutes of gymnastics instruction with qualified coaches, and 30 minutes of supervised free time. During free time, participants can access the gymnastics centre’s facilities, including floor space, trampolines, and the foam pit.

Adult Gymnastics – 18 years plus

Adult Gymnastics is designed for participants of all abilities, from beginners to experienced gymnasts, and focuses on developing strength, flexibility, and overall fitness. The program offers both coach assisted sessions for those with little or no experience and senior or experienced training options for former competitive gymnasts and accredited coaches.

Coach assisted sessions run from 8:00 – 9:00 pm, where fully accredited coaches provide individualised instruction in fundamental gymnastics skills. Participants may then continue independent training until 10:00 pm under coach supervision.

Competitive Gymnastics

Castle Hill RSL Gymnastics Club offers National Standard Development and Competitive Stream programs for both girls and boys across the new National and International pathways. Programs are delivered using all Women’s and Men’s apparatus, with ballet included in the women’s program, and are recognised for their high standards and strong performance outcomes.

All athletes are registered members of Gymnastics Australia and train under the guidance of experienced coaches in fully equipped, purpose-built apparatus gyms. Entry into the program is by assessment or through recognised prior training at the appropriate level.
