Programs for all levels and ages
Castle Hill Swimming recognises learning to swim as an essential life skill and offers a dynamic aquatic education program for participants of all ages and abilities. Programs cater for children from 6 months through to squad swimming, as well as adult learn-to-swim, with a strong focus on water safety and confidence in aquatic environments.
Developed through extensive experience, research, and innovation, the programs provide a consistent, child-centred, and professional learning experience that supports swimmers from their first water experiences to advanced levels.
Introduction to Water Confidence | Parents and babies
Swimming is a lifelong activity that can be enjoyed from infancy through to adulthood. Castle Hill Swimming’s infant and toddler program is designed to harness young children’s natural reflexes and responses in the water, helping them build confidence, safety awareness, and positive associations with swimming from an early age.
Classes provide valuable bonding time through close parent-child interaction and are delivered in a supportive, engaging, and fun environment. Gentle submersions are used when both parent and child are comfortable, supporting the development of breath control alongside basic water safety skills. Nursery songs and structured activities are incorporated to encourage enjoyment and learning.
Delivered by fully qualified teachers and supported by comprehensive safety procedures and specialist training, the program focuses on more than just play, laying strong foundations for future swimming development. Benefits include improved health, physical and social development, enhanced cardio-respiratory function, and a positive, enjoyable introduction to aquatic activity.

10 Stage Swimming Skills Evolution | Learn to Swim
Castle Hill Swimming’s programs are structured around ten progressive stages of aquatic education, swimming, and water safety. Each stage is carefully designed to provide optimal learning conditions, with a strong emphasis on correct technique rather than distance.
Developed in consultation with health and sport professionals, the program engages swimmers of all ages while maintaining alignment with world industry standards through ongoing refinement and evolution. Water safety skills are embedded at every level to build confidence, awareness, and enjoyment in aquatic environments.
Pool Deck Supervisors and teaching staff work collaboratively to monitor progress and provide families with regular feedback. Continuous assessment ensures swimmers are promoted as soon as stage outcomes are achieved.
The coaching program supports both competitive and fitness pathways, with athletes achieving success at national and international levels. As an integral part of Australian life, swimming lessons and squads foster essential life skills, fitness, endurance, and positive social connections.
Squad programs
The coaching program caters for both competitive and fitness pathways, recognising swimming as an integral part of the Australian way of life. Participation in squads supports the development of swimming skills, fitness, endurance, and positive social connections.
The coaching team is passionate, highly qualified, and experienced across all aspects of swimming. Swimmers progressing along the competitive pathway are required to join the Castle Hill RSL Dolphins Swim Club.
Squad programs range from 45-minute sessions for developing swimmers through to advanced Diamond Squad training of up to two hours per session.

School Holiday programs
During school holidays, Castle Hill Fitness and Aquatics Centre offers a School Holiday Program that allows swimmers to continue developing their skills while regular lessons pause. Typically delivered as a five day intensive, the program provides daily lessons designed to reinforce technique, build confidence, and support progression to the next level.
Specialised holiday sessions are also offered during key periods, particularly in preparation for school swimming carnivals. These targeted programs focus on race skills, dives, turns, and stroke efficiency to help swimmers feel confident and prepared for competition.
