Hawkesbury City Council proudly invites you to Australia Day on the Hawkesbury 2023, a fun family friendly community event on Thursday 26 January 2023 from 5pm to 9pm at Governor Phillip Park, Windsor.

This will be the perfect way to enjoy this special day with friends and family alongside our beautiful river.

Headlining the entertainment will be Prinne Stevens. The Australian-born Polynesian RnB soul artist wowed audiences on Season 1 of The Voice with her high energy R&B performances. Prinnie has since gone on to tour extensively and perform lead roles in hit stage musicals here and abroad.

Australia Day on the Hawkesbury 2023 will feature:

  • Special guest MC Farmer Dave from Rufftrack and Big Brother
  • An outdoor stage with live entertainment including local artists and headlined by Prinnie Stevens from The Voice
  • Amusement rides
  • Food and drink stalls plus food trucks
  • Free face painting
  • Thong throwing comp
  • Emergency Services Display
  • Roving Entertainment
  • RAAF flyover
  • Fireworks

Rides, face painting and many other fun activities will entertain the kids while parents and carers can relax and enjoy the atmosphere by the beautiful Hawkesbury River. There is also an inclusive playspace at Governor Phillip Park. There is plenty of on-site parking available.

The event will also include a variety of food trucks with a huge variety of hot food and refreshments. And the ever-popular fireworks finale on the river will be the perfect close at 9pm.

Australia Day on the Hawkesbury is a dog-friendly event. Please keep dogs on a lead at all times.

This important day will also be marked with the Australia Day Awards Ceremony and a Citizenship Ceremony, both at Don’t Worry Oval, Windsor.
