It’s time to deck the Mall with boughs of holly as the Hawkesbury’s favourite annual Christmas celebration – Light Up Windsor Street Fair – makes its festive return on Saturday 2 December.

From 5pm to 9pm, Windsor Mall, George Street and Thompson Square will with burst to life with Christmas cheer, including more than 70 market stalls – our biggest market yet! There will also be snow flurries, Christmas lights, free face painting, roaming and on-stage entertainment and fun family activities.

The main stage on George Street will provide hours of family entertainment including the best in local music and dance talent.

With stalls offering Christmas decorations, homewares, pet gifts, handmade jewellery and more, plus many of the Windsor Mall shops open for trading, Light Up Windsor will be the perfect opportunity to find Christmas gifts for your loved ones. Local cafes and restaurants will also be open, meaning you’ll also have plenty of options for a bite to eat.

Of course, there will be a very special visit during the evening from Santa and Mrs Claus, and his special festive helpers!

Council’s popular ‘Find a Reindeer’ competition will also make its return! Visit all the locations and deliver your passport to Council’s tent on the night to collect a special prize! Children can collect their passport from Monday, 20 November from either the Visitor Information Centre at Clarendon, or the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery at Windsor, and collect their first ‘bonus’ stamp while they are there. The Visitor Information Centre is open every day from 9am-4pm, including weekends. The Gallery is open from 10am-4pm weekdays and 10am-3pm weekends. Passports can also be collected on the night from Council’s tent.

All passports that are completed at the fair, including the bonus stamp from the Visitor Information Centre, go into a draw to win a special Hawkesbury family pack. Details on the prize will be announced soon, so follow @HawkesburyEvents on Facebook and Instagram, or visit the new dedicated Light Up Windsor website www.lightupwindsor.com.au for details.
