ROLE: PRESCHOOL DANCE TEACHER

- Location: Carlingford
- Working hours: Saturdays 9am – 2pm

Denise Utz School of Dance has been a cornerstone of the community for over 30 years, offering high-quality dance education to students of all ages and skill levels. Our preschool program is designed to introduce young children to the joy of dance in a fun and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Teach our age-appropriate dance curriculum to preschool-aged children (ages 3-5).
- Lead engaging and interactive dance classes that encourage creativity, coordination, and self-expression.
- Foster a positive, safe and supportive learning environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to explore movement.
- Incorporate music, props, and storytelling to enhance the learning experience and spark children’s imagination.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on students’ progress and upcoming events.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to coordinate performances, recitals and other special events.
Qualifications:
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a dance or early childhood education setting.
- Strong background in various dance styles, including ballet, jazz, creative movement, and rhythmic activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with young children and their families.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and a genuine passion for dance education.
- Certification in early childhood education, dance education, or a related field is preferred but not required.
