This super cute hidden gem of a playground in Beecroft has undergone a significant makeover and Hornsby Shire Council gave us a sneak peek today. How good does that climbing tower look!

We’ve always loved wandering around Fernley Park Beecroft, but the old playground was a bit of a let down. Not anymore. The upgrade has totally lifted it, with a six-metre rope tower, a three bay swing set, a rope bridge leading to a play platform with slides, and plenty of nature play balance spots.

It’s tucked inside a gorgeous Blue Gum High Forest, so you get birdsong, dappled light, and loads of towering gums. Keep an eye out for native birds or maybe even a bush turkey while you’re there.

Located in Beecroft, there are two entries into the playground:

  • Hannah Street – cross a charming bridge and find the playground just a short stroll beyond
  • Chapman Avenue – follow a meandering path through bushland and open space, to the playground

There are no toilets and it isn’t fully fenced, but because it is located a long way from the road it’s not an issue.
