ROLE: Part-Time Employment Lawyer (2+ PQE)
Frank Law is a commercial law firm based in the heart of Parramatta, working closely with SMEs, established private businesses, founders and growth-stage companies across Australia. We pride ourselves on being approachable, practical and outcome-focused.
We’re looking for a part-time Employment Lawyer to join our team 3 days per week.
The Role
You’ll work primarily in our employment law practice, with the opportunity to be involved in broader commercial matters. Day to day, you can expect to:
- Advise employers on contracts, policies and workplace compliance
- Assist with unfair dismissal, general protections and other employment disputes
- Draft, review and negotiate employment contracts and contractor agreements
- Work on workplace investigations, performance and misconduct issues
- Support the commercial team on general matters (e.g. basic commercial contracts, corporate governance documents, M&A) depending on your experience
- Have direct contact with clients and help deliver clear, commercial advice.
You’ll be supported by senior practitioners but given responsibility and autonomy.
About You
You will:
- Be an admitted Solicitor with at least 2 years’ PQE in employment law (more experienced candidates are very welcome to apply)
- Have WHS desired but not a must
- Be confident in advising on day-to-day employment issues for employers
- Have strong drafting skills with attention to detail
- Be comfortable managing your time and files on a 3 days per week basis
- Have interest in (or some exposure to) general commercial work
- Be a team player who communicates well with clients and colleagues
