A convenient and affordable alternative to an Emergency Department visit for fractures (broken bones) and other musculoskeletal injuries such as sprains and strains right at Norwest, with no referral required.

At your initial visit, specialist Emergency Clinicians will assess your injury, provide initial treatment and provide you with relevant education in relation to your injury. If imaging is required, this can be obtained with on-site X-Ray.

A treatment plan will then be developed and you’ll be advised of any necessary follow-up, including a consultation with in-house Specialist Orthopaedic / Hand Surgeons, via the centre’s Community-based Fracture Clinic, when appropriate.

What you can expect:

  • Emergency Department alternative for musculoskeletal injuries of the limbs including fractures, sprains & strains
  • The Injury Clinic will do its best to provide same or next day access to Specialist Emergency Clinicians for assessment, stabilisation and initial treatment of new injuries
  • Rapid access to Specialist Orthopaedic / Hand Surgeon consultation for acute fractures
  • Specialist Emergency Physician consultation for investigation of undiagnosed pain
  • Cast and splint application services available on-site at reasonable cost
  • Appointment-based consultations to avoid lengthy waiting – appointments are suggested but you are also able to walk in
  • On-site X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT & MRI
  • Rapid access to CT & MRI when necessary.

No referral required. On site parking available.
