Talk about a Hills tradition! For over 40 years now, volunteers have been spreading joy throughout the Hills on their annual Santa Runs. This is a fabulous event that brings neighbours together and it’s the perfect way to say thanks and offer a small donation if the firies are collecting. It all starts this weekend! Here’s a summary of what’s on in the Hills. Enjoy!

Rouse Hill Santa Lolly Run
Announced to be held on Saturday 14 December. Commences at 1.15pm. It’s a big one. The run covers 7 areas.
Westleigh Rural Fire Brigade Santa Run
The Westleigh RFS Annual Santa Run. Sunday 15 December from 8.30am. Last year the route commenced from Warrigal Drive, Westleigh at 8.30am and visiting Westleigh and parts of Thornleigh and Normanhurst. The route for last year can be found here. This is yet to be updated for 2024.
Box Hill Nelson Brigade
Saturday 21 December. Commences at 2pm. It’s another big one. The run also covers 7 areas.
Approx 2pm: Nelson

Approx 3.45pm: Box Hill
Approx 4.30pm: Box Hill
Approx 5pm: Maraylya
Approx 5.30pm: Gables
Approx 6pm: Gables with a Santa Stop at Slidey Park
Approx 7pm: Box Hill with a Santa Stop at Ceres Way Reserve
Dural Rural Fire Brigade Santa Run
Dural Rural Fire Brigade will be holding their Santa run on Sunday 21 December. Detailed map to come with stops Santa will be making this year on his route with the fire truck. Based on last year, Santa will stop at St Jude’s Terrace at 3:45pm followed by Sebastian Drive at 4pm. Santa and his elves will open Dural Fire Station from around 5pm for photos with Santa and his fire truck after his drive. Dural Fire Station is located on Quarry Road in Dural.
Galston Rural Fire Brigade
Santa’s Schedule is yet to be released. This was the schedule for 2023:
START: 3pm – commence from Galston Fire Brigade.

Hills SES Santa Run
The Hills SES are yet to release their routes for 2024 but here are the 2023 routes for reference.
Baulkham Hills – 24 December from 6pm
Kellyville – 24 December from 6pm
Castle Hill – 24 December from 6pm
Cherrybrook Rural Fire Brigade Santa Run
Starts at 5pm Cherrybrook RFS Station on Christmas Eve 24 December. See the map below or head to their website for more details.
Glenorie Village Santa Run
Usually starts at the top of Timaru St at 4pm on Christmas Eve, 24 December. Follow the Facebook page for more details.
For reference, this is the route for 2022. Expect some changes as Middle Dural are joining in this year.
Santa’s Sleigh Run, North Rocks
Santa’s Sleigh Run in North Rocks is bought to us by the Carlingford Rotary Club. They split the suburb into East and West and kick off the run at 4.30pm on Christmas Eve 24 December. Follow their Facebook page for more details.
