The Talbot Centre is an integrated health clinic located in Bella Vista, within Sydney’s Hills District. The Centre was established by clinical psychologist Dr Amy Talbot and brings together a team of registered and qualified professionals including psychologists, speech pathologists, a paediatrician, and dietitians.
The Centre provides services for individuals of all ages experiencing a range of psychological and health concerns. This includes support for eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, depression, trauma, body-focused repetitive behaviours (BFRBs), tics, ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder), and feeding or mealtime challenges.
Appointments are available in person at the Bella Vista clinic, and telehealth consultations are available for individuals across Australia. All services are based on evidence-informed approaches that align with current clinical guidelines and research. Clients are encouraged to speak with a practitioner about whether services offered at the Centre are appropriate for their needs.
The Talbot Centre also supports continuing professional development for health professionals, including psychologists, speech pathologists, and dietitians. Educational opportunities include training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), CBT for eating disorders (CBT-E), behavioural interventions for tics, and strategies for body-focused repetitive behaviours. The Centre also provides clinical supervision for registered health professionals seeking to meet their professional development or registration requirements.
Training is delivered with the aim of supporting ethical, evidence-based practice in mental health and allied health settings. Health professionals are encouraged to consider whether a particular training aligns with their scope of practice and professional responsibilities.
Dr Amy Talbot is gentle and reassuring, and assisted my child to overcome and manage various challenges. Highly recommend.
