Be dazzled by over 50 light sculptures, a tunnel of twinkling lights, interactive installations, GLOW Ice Rink, the KIIS Eye Ferris wheel, Glowy Golf by Carnival Cruise Line, Space Jam, food trucks, 4 Pines bar, entertainment and much more.

Every child will receive a FREE UV torch and map to experience the Secret UV Safari that will lead kids through the GLOW Light Walk to discover a trail of hidden animals and artwork.

Autumn Harvest Festival hosted by Sydney Living Museums. Rouse Hill Estate. Sunday 15 May. 9am to 3pm.

Immerse yourself in the rich food history of Rouse Hill Estate at this festive celebration of seasonal harvests.

Discover the story behind your food, and listen to a range of fascinating talks and live food demonstrations. Explore the property and hear the stories that reveal the life of the estate over 160 years. Take a peek inside the historic house, view outbuildings, and meet the cows. Or simply bring a picnic rug and enjoy the picturesque setting with a delicious spread from our ready-to-eat food vendors.

Meet some of Greater Sydney’s finest artisan producers and be inspired by traditional food production as you taste, savour, browse, and shop from a handpicked selection of products, including jams and relishes, teas, cured meats, artisan bread, cheeses and more. You’ll also have the chance to bring your preloved cookbooks to swap with other collectors.

Kids activities include buttermaking, craft activities as well as the opportunity to help our farmer Gareth, feed the cows. Plus, take part in cooking workshops (bookings essential) and food-focused tours of the property.

Fire Station Open Day. Saturday 14 May, 10am – 2pm.

Come and meet your local firefighters and learn about home fire safety at the Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) Open Day on Saturday, 14 May 2022.

Many fire stations across NSW will be throwing open their doors between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm to showcase FRNSW’s broad capabilities.

Children will be able to see a fire truck, demonstrations and firefighting equipment whilst the grown-ups will be able to find out more about home fire safety.

Baulkham Hills, Castle Hill, Beecroft, Kellyville and Blacktown are some of the local stations participating.  Click here to find the closest participating fire station to you.


Riverstone Festival. Saturday 14 May, 9.30am – 3pm.

Join in a day of activities and entertainment for the whole family, including food and market stalls, stage performers, rides and workshops.

Highlights of the festival include the street parade which will commence at 11 am. The greatly anticipated street parade will showcase local community groups, car clubs, marching bands and many more.

Nurragingy Miniature Railway. Sunday 15 May. 10am to 3pm.

Take the kids on a ride of a miniature train at the Nurragingy Miniature Railway.  The railway located in Nurragingy Reserve in Doonside. Check their website before heading out as they have had to cancel due to the weather in previous week. More information can be found here.


The Farm at Lynwood Country Club. Every Sunday 11am – 2pm.

Bring the kids along to Lynwood Country Club to see rabbits, goats and sheep! They’ll be entertained by the animal feedings and learn about life on the farm.

Visit the Museums Discovery Centre

The Museums Discovery Centre located in Castle Hill is a collaboration between the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS), Australian Museum and Sydney Living Museums. You will discover hundreds of treasures on display for the Powerhouse, Australian National Museum and Sydney Living Museums. It is open every weekend from 10am to 4pm.
