Due to the huge success of Flavours of Blacktown in 2023, the award-winning multicultural festival will return to Nurragingy Reserve over 2 nights in 2024. Join the Blacktown Council as they celebrate the myriad of cultures that live in our diverse community. The event will feature something for everyone.

Family Science Day in Parramatta. Saturday 17 August. 10am to 3pm. PHIVE & Parramatta Square, Parramatta.
Are your kids budding scientists and want to discover the wonders of space and tech? On Saturday 17 August from 10am-3pm, get excited for a fun and educational day of free family-friendly science workshops and activities. There will be lots to see and do for the whole family!
Drop by Parramatta Square for live robotics demonstrations, slime and lego workshops and the entertainment stage serving up funky-fresh tunes, liquid nitrogen explosions and 0-gravity hip-hop performances. No registrations required – first come, first served!
Then, visit PHIVE to unravel the mysteries of space. The PHIVE Library on Level 1 will put on a suite of drop-in science activities but be sure to get in early to avoid the queues!
You can also step into the newly renovated Parramatta Town Hall to experience the sounds of space and construct a star clock to map the celestial sky.
Family Science Day is brought to you by City of Parramatta in partnership with Powerhouse as part of the wider Sydney Science Festival.
