Join in for FREE Movie Nights at Bella Vista Pocket Park this September! These under-the-star screenings will take place over two nights.
Powerhouse Castle Hill Family Day: Building Worlds. Saturday 14 September. 10am to 4pm.
Powerhouse Castle Hill presents a free day of demonstrations, workshops, tours, drop-in activities and fun for people of all ages, inspired by the Powerhouse collection. On this Family Day, participants can explore world building with the Australian Production Design Guild, through imaginative responses to a story brief.
- Sketching the World 10am–3pm. Develop your ideas on paper through sketching and story boards with Jacinta Leong.
- Making the World 10am–3pm. Build your ideas in 3D by using a range of materials to create scale models with Imogen Ross.
- Seeing the World 10am–3pm. Using paper framing (and your own digital device), learn fun ways to re-frame and change the view of the worlds you have created with Eamon D’Arcy.
- Mars Rover 1.30pm. Meet our quarter-scale replica of the Curiosity Mars Rover and learn all about its mission from the Castle Hill team.
Northholm Country Fair. Sunday 15 September. 11am to 4pm.
Nurragingy Miniature Railway. Sunday 15 September. 10am to 3pm.
This miniature railway in Nurragingy Reserve Doonside, runs on the third Sunday of every month. In addition to train rides there will be a sausage sizzle next to the Railway and Classic Soft Serve will be there too with their ice cream van. Don’t forget your enclosed shoes.
