The Hills Grammar Winterfest will be held this Saturday June 22 between 3-8pm. There will be fireworks, entertainment, extraordinary raffle prizes and artisan market stalls for the community to enjoy.

Grandparents Club – Written by Wendy Harmer. Finally a show that celebrates Grandparenthood! 90 mins of pure joy that is hilariously funny and touchingly authentic. Written by comedy legend Wendy Harmer with toe-tapping, sing-a-long music from John Field, this is a show that understands how truly Grand life can be! Join Lynne McGranger (Home and Away), Laurence Coy, Andrew James and Meredith O’Reilly in a whirl of stand up, send-up and songas they share their hearts, stories and mishaps over coffee…or was that a gin…in the famous Grandparents Club. Pick your own fruit – Mandarin season
Throwing all the kids in the car and heading off fruit picking is a great activity that the whole family can enjoy! It’s a great way to show kids where their fruit comes from while also being out in the sunshine and fresh air. We’re lucky here in the Hills to have fabulous farms right on our doorstep so the journey isn’t too far – as we all know, with young kids there’s no such thing as enjoying a long, leisurely drive!
Here are our tips for places to visit this Winter. Most places charge a price for for what you pick. Also, things change due to seasons and weather, so make sure you check the farm’s website or Facebook page for opening times before you set off. And don’t forget to take your own bags.

- Rouse Hill Estate open to the public. Every Sunday. 10am to 4pm.
- The Farm at Lynwood Country Club. Every Sunday 11am – 2pm. Bring the kids along to see rabbits, birds and sheep! They’ll be entertained by the animal feedings and learn about life on the farm.
