Foodies

Parramatta Lanes. Wednesday 21 October to Saturday 24 October. 5pm to 10pm.

Get ready for four nights of food, music and entertainment as Parramatta Lanes transforms the streets and laneways of Parramatta into a vibrant festival. Discover delicious street food, pop-up bars, live music, DJs and art installations as you explore the city after dark. Wahroonga Food and Wine Festival. Sunday 25 October. 11am to 5pm.

Enjoy a delicious day out at the Wahroonga Food and Wine Festival, with a fantastic selection of wines, gourmet food and live entertainment in the beautiful surrounds of Wahroonga Park. Sample wines from a range of wineries, enjoy tasty food from local producers and soak up the relaxed festival atmosphere. It’s a lovely way to spend a spring Sunday with friends or family. Free outdoor movie night & spirit of light at Tallawong Village. Saturday 24 October. From 3pm.
Looking for something fun to do with the family this Saturday? Head to Tallawong Village on Saturday 24 October for a FREE outdoor movie under the stars, plus an afternoon of colourful Diwali celebrations!

Monty Python’s Spamalot. Thurs 22 Oct to Sun 25 Oct. Coliseum Theatre Western Sydney.

Castle Hill Farmers and Fine Food Market. Saturday 24 October. 8am to 12pm. Castle Hill Showground.

Ongoing attractions

Powerhouse Castle Hill.  Open every Saturday and Sunday. 10am – 4pm.

Home to hundreds of thousands of fascinating objects from the Powerhouse collection, Powerhouse Castle Hill where you can get up close to everything from vintage cars and trains to space technology, fashion and Australian history. Rouse Hill Estate open to the public. Every Sunday. 10am to 4pm.

Rouse Hill Estate is one of the Hills District’s hidden gems, offering a relaxed day out where you can step back in time and explore one of Australia’s best-preserved colonial estates. Wander through the historic homestead, beautiful gardens, stables and outbuildings, and discover what life was like for the families who lived here over the past 200 years. Best of all, general entry is free.
